Highly unlikely. There just isn’t the population of pros in the region that there was in 2018/2019. A lot would have to change. Ironically, another NA miracle major win could maybe provide a boost, as these Liquid/EG/NRG rosters all had their peaks within a year or so of c9 winning Boston.

Fuck no. Even Asia has a far better chance.
Filthy_Commie_
If some of the newer guys pan out and are willing to work together, maybe.
The old guard also has to cut the shit as well.

Not with the current pros. There’s a couple issues going on in NA (well there are actually a lot more than a couple but for the sake of brevity).
Current pros give no time of day to any up and comers. And if they do, the up and comers don’t care to listen.
It will take a massive paradigm shift in the way current NA tier 2-3 players view the game, and also in the way current pros view current tier 2-3 players.
You need talent and hunger, and also veteran knowledge being passed down. Neither of which are there in any real capacity.

Doesn’t even feel like NA even has 5 good players at the moment.
the_light_one_1
I dont think its impossible. Nobody imagined a mongolian team in top 5

NA just doesn’t take it as serious nor is the youth into it as much as other regions, so at this rate never.
MisterSantos
Valorant really killed NA CS. It wasn’t just top players like Ethan, Tarik, and Nitro that went over – it took over all the t1.5 and t2 talent from NA as well.
hipvapingdad
Nah we are cooked, we have no promising IGL’s nor will we probably ever. Game isn’t loved or grinded like it used to be
SeanPerfect666
i dont think so
AdamaS_AlivE
No. If you ever look at the track record of NA teams in all CS version is always 1-2 years of a good years for the region then disappears. EX: 2005 NA had 2 titles ESWC with coL and WCG 05 with Team 3D.
Lord777alt
Probably not. Maybe in another decade plus if Val dies perhaps
FlyyMeToTheMoon
Former NA pros and ORGs didn’t do much to develop new talents. They all eventually went the streamer route and farms salary on twitch; if they didn’t move to Valorant.

Valorant would need to have a huge downfall and a lot of players return to cs. I know people point to Valorant as a part of the downfall of NA cs but I feel like people still underestimate the impact it had. It essentially took all the tier 1.5 – tier 2 pros away from the game AND is much more appealing to the youth. The majority of young FPS players in NA are going to get into valorant instead of cs in the current landscape unfortunately.

6 years later and these are still considered the best players from this region…. We need some new blood badly

No. NA players have a attitude problem that has persisted since the series originated. 2400 elo faceit players who’ve never played a match outside of IM think their gods gift to counter strike and will never learn anything about the game besides wide swing and try to take fights. The NA attitude (not a cs thing, it’s just the culture in this country), is to only care about yourself and no one else matters. As long as my stats are good who gives af if we win or lose, if we lose and I have 90+ adr I can just blame my teammates. We saw this with valorant, more than half our scene, instead of trying to get better at cs, said screw it imma go make money in this game that is easier.
Go watch Fl0m stream (Fl0m is great but the people he plays with, yikes), the dudes he pugs with will not com with their team, wide swing angles, die, then start bitching at their randoms because he’s too good to com and ask for a flash or a double peak, and those are the dudes gate keeping the Advanced/ECL scene.
Void3r
Valorant would have to die for that to happen

No sir it wont

No because asia exists and hass shown more passion Brazil is shaking right now looking at the rise of asia I bet China is also gonna get a 2nd major before na gets another id bet it might even get one before we get another Brazil major

No one will read this cuz I’m so late to this post. NA outside of liquid, EG, and chaos (for only a couple months) was starting fall behind on the T2 scene for awhile. Then covid, and Val happened, and completely destroyed it.
EG tried but the 3 team thing obviously didn’t work. Young NA talent and teams we’ll never develop as long as the top orgs and local personalities with sponsor connections don’t provide up and coming players with a legitimate eco system to grow into real top notch players.
Fl0m has talked about starting to host lans, Launders obviously does a few, and there’s fragedelphia, but it’s nothing compared to what the EU does for its young players.
I also feel like South America, and the Asian region are doing a much better job at bringing up the younger talent.
Col is close, but alot of these “NA” orgs don’t want to take risks on random 19 year old FPL players and develop them. They would rather go international on players that are known. Or when you have someone like Twistzz he doesn’t want to waste time, and wants liquid to start winning now. Even Elige left col and NA.
Idk I’m yapping and rambling, and I’m not going to reread what I said, but I just wanted to vent.
It is just so sad watching the downfall, of NA CS over the last 5-6 years.
It can be saved!! But it won’t be easy

God no. Unless NA cs unveil a Donk prodigy then its gonna be a dark age for a while now.

No.

no. valorant, covid, and a severe lack of LAN tournaments absolutely decimated the scene to the point that it can’t recover. there is no stream to develop talent coming off FPL anymore. all the NA orgs are either disbanded or broke. without any investment into the grassroots we will never see the hidden talent that is available in NA break out onto the international stage. No org or sponsor wants to take the risk anymore. just how it is unforunately.
