I like to organize everything and make it neat 🙂
I DONT like to realize I have to move a device around and untie everything again…

A few days ago I decided to completely reroute all the wires and cables in my PC. I’m trying to make this thing picture perfect, little by little. Anywho, I reroute, make sure everything works, then tie up and sleeve. Yesterday, I realized that a 3-way splitter I used for some fans rendered 2 of the fans inoperable. So I now have to undo everything and re-reroute while also finding a different way to connect all the fans. It’s the kind of obtuse, boneheaded move you make when you’ve been doing something a long time and slip up by starting to believe you’re getting good at it.
My first step is to realize that it got popular as a result of Apple promoting the minimalistic/clean aesthetic.

Fr and guilty as can be. I have a solid case so the inside is irrelevant all the cables hang towards the back of my desk. It looks clean from where I usually sit, it just isn’t walking into the room xD

Exactly! If it works leave it alone.

If it works, then why disturb it?

cable management is only good up to when it’s more inconvenient to disassemble than to switch things around after doing so. past then it’s not worth doing. I used 4 zipties and that’s it! things just run where they need to.

Do the cable management as you plug in cables. It’s a lot easier and faster. You’ll thank me later 😉

The wires and cables go behind all the things where you can’t see that they’re tangled and wrapped around everything else.

For me, it’s like making the bed.
What’s the point? It’s gonna get messy again.

If i can’t see it and don’t restrict the airflow, it’s good enough for me. I’ll let my future self handling it when it need cleaning or upgrade

Looked great for a bit, though!
