Honestly, I didn’t understand who this new rule is actually targeting. How will PUBG decide which accounts are ‘side accounts’? Who decides that? Every player has the right to create and use multiple accounts if they want to – player play on all of them to reach the PK5 tier ( which is the main target for many players) in Popularity Battles so, what's wrong in this!? It’s not like we choose our opponents; they’re matched randomly and play however they want. If the opponent loses, how is that unfair?
This rule doesn’t make much sense to me. If PUBG really wants to fix the system, they should focus on the carders – the ones who use small or fake accounts to send massive popularity to big players and push them into the Top 100. Will PUBG ban all of them for 10 years too? And this has been going on for a long time, but PUBG never takes action.
Playing with multiple accounts in a fair way, without using any hacks, especially in a popularity battle, should not be considered wrong. This new rule feels completely unfair. what do you think??

from what I understand,
what the community wants from this is they ban carders who commit fraud using alts (this brings pubg money so they don’t care and won’t ban)
what pubg would do is ban those who make alts to collect some free popularity like bikes because this doesn’t generate them any revenue
Just logged into all three of my accounts with no problem. I think this is only targeting players who use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage in competitions like popularity battles.
Imagine caring about popularity enough to create an alt account for this purpose.

Why is so blurry?
I think the game is targeting those players who use alternate accounts for carding purpose. It’s a hint when you see a new and low level account send some big uc popularity gift to a main account. Either they use stolen credit card information or they perform refund/chargeback after sending the popularity. Both main and alternate will be banned I guess. I hope the game know what they doing because it could be very easy to get someone falsely punished. A jealous person can use alternate accounts to get rich players banned or sabotage their popularity battle.
