It's nice to finally see people agreeing he was/is the GOAT of COD Zombies.

His era was amazing, but this also doesn't take away anything from Jason Blundell is great too, after all he have us Origins and MOTD but even tho considering Zombies were headed towards Aether/Alien approach, I truly believe that Jason is the one that led to the downfall of the identity of COD Zombies because of his over-the-top designs (Margwas, Lil'Arnies, etc..). They felt more like a one-time cheap gimmick to attract attention and sound "cool" but in the long-term, it is both cringe, and out of place.

I (or WE, if you agree with me) DEMAND A REBOOT – but this time, no over-the-top aliens/tentacles designs, please! Keep it toned down and grounded (even if there is Sci-Fi aspects, just make it feel like Group 935 again lol).

Yeah this makes no sense because how did Blundell cause the fall of COD zombies when he wasn’t even present at the company? He gave us some of the greatest maps ever and set the standard that Treyarch couldn’t live up to after he left. Although I will admit his work in Bo4 wasn’t perfect

I definitely preferred the BO1 and BO2 era of zombies, and Jason led the development of maps from WaW (Der Riese), BO1 (Shangri-la) and BO2 (Mob & Origins), so hes always been a part of zombies from the early days but I feel he went too far with BO4 and ultimately that was his downfall and the reason we now have this Kevin Drew led, Warzone zombies.

Now, let’s be having those downvotes lol

Jason blundell was responsible for 15 maps but the margwa and little Arnie’s on two of them was the downfall of zombies? Jimmy was actively killing the mode since shangri la with genuinely baffling gameplay decisions. Those maps are still good but blundell set a new bar. 4 if the six maps in bo3 barely have anything to do with apothicons, and none of the bo4 maps even have them in game.

Off topic but I swear this is the only screenshot of the guy from the entire internet

  5. Waw and black ops 1’s storyline has you traveling through time and collecting magical alien artifacts so you can swap bodies with a child stuck in a magical pyramid on the moon to control the zombies using an magical alien power called the aether. The undead themselves was created by a magical space rock. Making the aliens who were responsible for that more relevant and allowing you to confront them is not out of place. In my opinion blundell raised the standards and quality of zombies starting with mob of the dead all the way to ancient evil. He gave us the golden age of zombies. Blundell is goat in my opinion, but jimmy is great too.

I respect Jimmy for WAW and BO and respect Blundell for Origins and BO3

  7. People hated him? He literally made a bunch of amazing maps in bo1 and bo2. Tranzit and Die Rise werent great but they were interesting concepts at the very least

Jimmy z best maps are call of the dead moon and buried. While blundells best maps are mob origins and shadows. Drew’s is ZNS,AOE and Die Maschine! They are all fire in there own wah and these men are what gave us a game mode quit comparing them and just put them on the mountain top together!

  9. Zelinski and Blundell are two sides of the same coin.

They both started off strong and created some of the best zombies content, but they both succumbed to their overambition in the end.

It’s nice to be able to see this and say it without getting downvoted to death by hive mind fans that thought Blundell was the second coming of christ…….

Jimmy was, and will forever be the greatest Zombies director ever.

The fact that Jason took the story and threw in 50 million things that never should belong or exist within zombies, in an effort to create an unattainable bar, has now killed the community because nothing will ever achieve what the past did (even if they are in my eyes stupid ass ideas like dragons and cthulhu monsters).

I have major respect for Jimmy. No hate. Glad we got Jason as his replacement though. Pretty sure the game mode would have died without him

While I think BO3 made an incredible job in almost every aspect, I must agree that after BO1 the story was just an incomprehensible mess, Jimmy was definitely not as ambitious as Jason but that helped him build a more down to earth story even when it wasn’t the best at trying to explain itself.

I also enjoyed a lot more the BO1 and loved the job of Jimmy, but I also understand why they took the decisions they took after his departure.
