Got a mint condition ROG Ally X for $450 with the dock, charging cable, USB-C block, and carrying case — the full setup. Retail is like $900.
Backstory? A mom bought it as a gift for her son… and he never touched it. Local repair shop ended up reselling it, and I snatched it up faster than my wallet could panic.
This thing absolutely crushes the Steam Deck. Runs smooth, looks clean, and I’m pretty sure I won’t shut up about it for the next week.

now you only need to install linux
Oh man I’ve wanted one of those for a bit now! They look so good
Personally I don’t think I can even use another handheld without the steamdeck trackpads. They’ve completely spoiled me.
Wait until the sticks break and Asus denies RMA. Will take about a couple weeks.
The ally x is amazing. Had mine for a couple months now. I use it every night.
now flash bazzite on it unless you play mp games.
Crushes steam deck? Okay, but no trackpads is meh tbf
Steam OS or gtfo.
Now install Steam OS
How hot do they actually get tho? I hear they get quite hot.
Think I can beat it lol. Traded a 3 year old smoker worth no more than $300 for a ally x the guy bought and used twice and said it wasn’t for him. Came with 2 docks, case, mouse and a pretty neat portable keyboard. All for a smoker I didn’t have need or use for anymore.
Damn, that’s a good get.
what exactly makes it crush the steam deck lol?
Doesn’t crush it in customer support or repairability though…
yeah these are great. runs well and i mostly play on the 10w battery conservation mode. only complaint is the microsd drive has issues apparently and the battery isnt great on the turbo settings but none of the handhelds are
also wish it came with steamdeck OS by default. havent had too many windows issues but still
I’ve been looking for one for months and have not gotten lucky. Ended up getting a Legion Go for $450 which is cool but, not the X I wanted. Still searching!

good buy!!!!
The robbery is them charging $900 + tax for this lmao. Great find man
There isn’t much demand for pc handhelds and the market is oversaturated. Not surprising that they can be had for well below msrp.
you did! great catch!
