Everything is clearly labeled both on the cables and on the motherboard. It’s the size of the damn plugs that makes people lose their marbles.

Building a PC is pretty fun, but this part can go fuck itself. Doesn’t help that my eyesight is bad so I never get them in the right location

I don’t understand, it’s not very difficult

Everytime I do a build for my “small business” I just look up the diagram for them hahaha. But most newer ones have just an all in one cable thankfully
Master2All
I have no idea why this has not been standardized into one cable and connector truly one of the biggest fumbles in technology.

I only need the power switch anyway , all the other LEDs light up at night

I just recently upgraded my pc and this was my first time actually interacting with that hardware and the first time I was semi lucky to attach it right. But when I went back to my old board i was like. HUH why doesn’t it start WHAT HAVE I DONE?!

I honestly just plug in POWER SW and call it a day.
I don’t really need/use any of the others.

The first time I built my PC I was staring at this shit just drooling out brain cells. Took me way too long to understand wtf I was looking at.

I don’t see how that is an issue.. I always enjoyed fidgeting the lil plugs in.

And the worst is that some of those can break…

When I saw my mobo had a power button I said eff that other crap and just turn my computer on that way instead. No I do not use a side panel and no my IO port cover thing is not installed.
I JUST had this where I thought I broke my girlfriend’s PC when I swapped some parts and it wasn’t turning on. Turns out I had misplaced these little guys. At least the one in the picture has color coded on the motherboard so you can more easily distinguish where each goes

Smooth brains that can’t handle a few jumpers. /sigh

Back in my day the pins weren’t even labelled.

My brother in christ, the manual literally has a guide (at least the last pc I’ve worked on did)

There’s a new standard cable that’s been used more and more. My Hyte Y60 had it, very convenient

I think it is relatively easy. You just have to read the label on the MB and connect accordingly.
after being on my 3rd Build now and helping a few friends with their PC, I would say, this is not a problem for me anymore

NZXT cases have the front panel header as one connector, since most modern motherboards have a standard pinout for it. Very welcome change.

When you need to have your six year old with their tiny fingers in order to just get the fucking things to fit.

There is like this book you get with the motherboard that might help you out.

My last case has an all in one cable for first time.
The wiring is the worst part, even without trying to make it look pretty.
I think they actually fixed this, I built my friends PC and my own a couple of weeks later and both had one big cable instead.
The last PC I built was like 6 years ago, I love all the little QOL stuff that manufacturers added.
Big props to any case makers who made front panel wiring easier by using one big connector instead of a bunch of tiny annoying one
oh sweet summer child. imagine if we still had to terminate our buses or set everything by physical jumpers on the components.
Molex cables are the fucking worst…
Dunno why so many people struggle with that. It’s labeled, just put the right ones and you’re done.
It’s easy if you can read the manual
