Call me an optimist but I think this is again one big government subsidy scam. They’re making themselves look comically evil so people talk about them making the stocks go up. I don’t really see how such a PR image would help them attract real AI talent. All the competent nutjobs are already working for other defense companies, and the rest will rather go for “less evil” big tech firms.

What are we gonna do anyway? Shoot their AI robots that will come with flying in by the thousands, to drop off spot the robotic Dog, who was much more cute before they mounted them with machine guns and DEW (directed energy weapons), backed up by self-driving military vehicles that come fully loaded with Tesla bots who can shoot more accurately than any human could while also working with a hive-minded precision teamwork that ants could only dream about.
And that’s just the tech they love showing off, just imagine the tech they have that they’re not showing us.
Nah, I’m probably just being paranoid.
The government loves us and they would never…ever… and if it did, well I’ll guess we’ll see how well that 2nd amendment works out for us. It’s going to be a different feeling like the cave man throwing spears at the metal monsters.
