We wanted to take a moment to welcome the <giant number we aren't able to disclose> of new WWII players who have played our game over the last few weeks. We are Sledgehammer Games, the game development studio behind Call of Duty: WWII and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Is it hard to throw one of the old HQs back up for a week? Maybe let the new players get that feel? It always was a blast popping into HQ when something new popped off. HQ set this game apart IMO and if it’s not a big thing to do it would be something for the old and the new to enjoy.
My advice is experiment with let’s you play as strong as you can, and experiment with what let’s you have fun. I have divisions I only use to play focused and some just for fun. There’s near limitless combos you can try between the choices in division, BTs, and weapons.
Loving the game. Sick of all the black ops’ by now, so it’s nice to get back to some shit that’s real.
Does the game still get updates, or is it’s lifecycle pretty much over now?
It’s fine for the most part, but can’t help but notice a couple things. Would kill for a “dismiss all new item indicators” option as I’m obsessive about clearing them but some of them bug out and don’t go away.
The chatellerault bling something-or-rather variant has its reflex sight reticle permanently stuck to the default.
Little things like that. I don’t know much about game development, and I’m not sure the game brings in enough money to still be worth it, but it would be nice to know someone’s putting in the time to sort out what they can.
Other than those little niggles, it’s great!
I haven’t properly enjoyed a COD game since WaW and MW2, this has really brought the magic back for me. I don’t even mind the lootboxes as they’re done in a way that makes it feasible to get stuff with simply playing the game.
Are you guys bringing back special orders?
How long is the double XP? I’m hoping forever but withhold expectations
so, I played this game the first time while the beta of ww2 and I didn‘t really like the game release version and where it went from there. After some time I heard that a lot of things changed to the better but for me it was a bit too late and I played other stuff. But with the ps plus deal, I got it and played since the offer. Right now, I‘m playing like everyday the multiplayer and it‘s really good. It has been a long time since I had so much fun in a multiplayer shooter. Yes!!!! If I may suggest, let’s bring back some new (or revived) ‘events’ for those that have missed it all. And the companion HQ scenarios would be a blast! Just don’t forget about us XB1 players. 🙂
Fantastic experience, this game is. And an absolutely top tier musical score. It’s very John Williams. I hear odes to Jaws, Star Wars, and more throughout. Not direct takes, but…you can hear the influence. Amazing.

u/SHG_Hammer Can we bring back the themed headquarters such as Halloween Scream, Blitzkreig, Shamrock and Awe (it was fun climbing on top of the shamrock). Maybe have them on a weekly/2 weekly rotation. I have been with the game since release and I would like to see them appear once more and for the (new) players that never got to experience the brilliant atmosphere. It was very unique moment in COD. And as someone who is max prestige and social rank I would like to use my excess armoury credits to purchase remaining items such as Emotes, Camos, Charms, Variants, Pistol Grips (yes I need the bear mona lisa grip called Grizzled) and uniforms including the eluded Slayer Outfit (the cape/leather is badass) which was in contracts just once through out games lifecycle. I think this is the perfect opportunity/moment in time to implement new systems with the massive influx of ps+ players.
Let us purchase Heroic Supply Drops with our Armory Credits please?!. 🙏
I honestly can’t be the only one who wants all the Varients of guns. Also, I’m sick of the Supply Drop system, change to we have much higher chances of getting new items instead of Duplicated please? I really hope the community agrees with me and a new way of earning stuff is made easier, especially for all the new players. 🙂

Hey guys as a new player on ps4 the only small change I would really ask is a “show unlocked first” option in the cosmetics menus.
Sometimes I have to find the weapon charm I unlocked through 250+ items. Process I have to repeat if I change weapons.
Same thing with outfits.

I had this game before on Xbox, but I had no desire to go back and play on that console once I made the switch to ps4, so I’m pretty much restarting. As most people are asking, I would also like for the themed headquarters to return and the Iron Curtain II contract to return, since players who are new to the game didn’t have the chance to experience them. I would also like for orders with epic bribes or heroic bribes to return. u/SHG_Hammer
Hey SHG, I love your game and have been an avid player for nearly 3 years now. Kudos for developing such an amazing game.
As a zombies player, I always wonder if we’ve figured everything out. I’d be a bit sad if the answer is yes, but all I ask is for a yes or no. Much appreciated!
yooo SHG can we please have the m1903 and kar98k ads speeds what they were before the nerfs? i grinded a whole division prestige only to find out that the kar’s just as slow as the springfield and knowing that snipers ads transition times and the kar’s bolt speed were nerfed back in the day also you could at least keep them speedy when we don’t even got any aim assist to work with either.. 🙁 A change like that would bring lots of people from the sniping com back to your game <3

If you block someone, the game won’t put them into a match with you. So every time I run into a Jeep camper on shipment I block them.

u/SHG_Hammer I’m one of the new guys lol and I’m absolutely hooked on zombies, only been playing like a day and a half in game for it but I might have found some leads on EEs, like the jack in the boxes being landable on the open hands of the statues by the cemetery (one’s on the roof to the right of the big statue for the players) as well as the fact that there are multiple clocks throughout the map, each with a different time, and one of the clocks on the tower with the Tesla coils on top looks slightly off from the other three, to name a few… But I haven’t seen much, if any, content on the other EEs in around 2 years now, so I’m wondering if there can be more marketing or outreach with it?
You guys made the best cod I ever played. It really saddens me to learn that you lost your role as a main dev for cod. Treyarch and IW has nothing on you guys. You innovate. I was really hoping for a SHG cod in 2020.
Is this confirmed or was it just a nonsense leak? I want war mode and I want objectives in my zombie games. I want insanely good weapon balance. You made cod great.
Is there any possibility of obtaining the *Independent* (M1 Garand) and *The American* (M1911) variants?

A lot of us are trying to finish our collections but are reliant on supply drops to do so. Could you introduce bribes, or reduce the likelihood of duplicates in drops?

This is the first game I ever really played and started it because my father served in Normandy in 1944. I am now 71 y/o and started when I was 68. I appreciate the historical context and because of my family so it never grows old on me.
Over the years I got up to MP 1000, Chrome Camo and now Chrome Tiger. Sorta run out of challenges now, but I find the weapons fascinating in their historical context.
I have 1.1 million AC and nothing to buy despite missing 46 weapon variants. I open supply drops in HQ because I heard the results are better and I open the 100 at a time. Last two times I got 5 new weapon variants both times… this will take a while especially if I get unlucky.
Anyway, I enjoy the game and if any on the newer players want some possibly useful advice, please ask. I mostly play War and Shipment. Because of my age I am big on strategy and slow on reflexes…. If I can get Chrome and Chrome Tiger anybody can.
