    Based on a box?

Plug it in and run GPU-Z. It’ll tell you what GPU it is. I assume it’s mostly westerners who havent heard of galax, who’re legit

  2. wadap12345

What….? Why would anyone think that? Just put the serial number on their website and see for yourself lol

  3. TryToBeModern

its just the clueless people who dont know that galax is literally one of the best brands for gpus

  4. smalltrigger

We got GALAX gpus here, cheaper than the other brands when it comes to the same
Products and at their current main location where I am they have a replacement warranty for two years. They will swap your gpu to a new one no questions asked. If you have genuine problems with your hardware.

In case people wonder and this is a very international subreddit, im in turkey. They seem to be way cheaper than asus/msi/gigabyte counterparts. An example galax 5070 12gb is 700american here, asus msi gigabyte starts around 820american.

  5. TxM_2404

Galax is a legit brand. They are also known as KFA2 in Europe.

  6. firefligt

Galax is a legit brand. 5060 at its 8 gb configuration is a really bad card to buy for current and future games.

  7. PcDealer007

Asia had always its own gpus. Like back in the day the 10 series card they had it with lower vram like if i am not mistaken 3gb 1060. Galax is KFA2 it looks legit just put it in and try to install the driver if it is fake it won’t install the drivers.

  8. Eagle_eye_Online

Those people are fake, the card looks fine.

  9. IcyBlueMtnDew

this is real. i litteraly own a GALAX card lol

  10. mrballs6942069

Its a fake just send it to me ill dispose of it safely, it may be a bomb D:

Galakuro 玄人志向 / kuroutoshikou is a high level vendor of GPUs in Japan.

The return rate for dogshit quality GPUs is insanely high, because Japanese consumers are very picky and demanding. So if the card is loud, or has any issues, it means an immediate return and low rank through retailers. To prevent this, Kuroshiko straight up hand bins / tests their cards before shipping them out.

For example: Kuroshiko RDNA1 cards were golden samples for the most part (even if they were PowerColor fighters), because if they had crap voltage curves they were going to be returned for being loud. I know because I had one, and the return rate on them was insanely low. Card was amazing.

They also offer local (very good) and trusted service if you live in Japan. Enjoy.

Just plug it in and run a benchmark. The number will tell you if it’s real or fake.

  13. next time people see Inno3d or even KFA2 they’ll just call it fake instantly..

  14. thatirishguyyyyy

Galaxy is legit. You forgot to give us a photo of the card though.

  15. Great-Mortgage-5204

its real that gpu is just obscure

  16. Brilliant-Ice-4575

the only problem with that gpu is 8gb ram.

  17. That cpu is the worst you could have bought, looking at the benchmarks that a 3070 beats…well maybe a 5050 would be worse

  18. Consistent_Research6

Who would fake a 5060, is weack as it is.

  19. Numerous-Role7123

Just because it’s written in Japanese?

  20. IT’S Not fake. Galax is a legit brand sold in the USA also.

  21. Silver15987

It’s fake. Look at all those weird characters. Not real, let me take care of it for you. I’ll despose of it so no one has to know.

  22. Dibblidyy

Send it to me and I’ll check to make sure it’s real.

  23. qalmakka

It is original but if you can return it and get a 16 bit model instead. The 8 GB model is quite bad and a waste of money.

  24. Agarillobob

fake means its legit in japanese, its an insider joke

  25. Gambit-47

A lot of people online don’t know wtf they are talking about.

  26. devill_1999

People never heard of Galax before?

  27. JackBreacher

I’m out of the loop for GPUs, I’ve never heard of Galak either. Now I know Galak is top tier.

  28. Xanthon

Bet whoever told you it’s fake believe that everything in the world must be written in English.

  29. theRealNilz02

I doubt it’s fake but please tell me, is that really still just 8GB?

  30. Tackyinbention

Some people think ryzen CPUs with mandarin text on their boxes are fake (they’re literally made in China)

  31. ADo_9000

Unfortunately it is real, it is the 5060, an 8gb disaster of a card.
It is fast enough for 1440p but it’s 8gb won’t allow it.

most newer games at 1440p needs more than 8gb of vram and the lack of vram has extreme performance consequences.

If people wanted the exact same card they should just have bought a used 3070 and saved some money

  32. A-Lewd-Khajiit

It’s a Chinese brand I think, it’ll work like a regular 5060 with maybe a 1% performance difference (all other cards are like that too)

  33. einar21121

Even if it’s not fake, I’m really surprised anyone would actually go for a 5060 8gb… damn… well, I’m confused.

  34. ShabbyChurl

Unrelated to the question: if you can, exchange this for the 16GB model.

  35. SammyCastles

Only way to know for sure is to install it and see what it comes up as

  36. Honest_Committee2544

Nah. I have the 5080 from the same brand in Japan. Absolutely no problem.

  37. AtaPlays

Man it’s a GALAX. But like others for picky customers in Japan.

  38. Anyone who says that has 0 knowledge about pc building

  39. Controller_Maniac

says it has a 3 year warranty if you’re worried

  40. GALAX is a well established, and known brand, they have been for years!!

Their name is even in 3D Mark TimeSpy!

  41. eulynn34

The frames are fake, but the GPU is probably real

  42. Emicrania

8gb RAM for a new GPU in 2025 is madness

  43. Baatun107295

I never heard of this brand, so it must be fake!
