Bought some *indie* games on Steam. I have a Dvorak keyboard.
One just doesn’t let you change keymaps (frog detective).
The other lets you change it (Umarangi Generation) but like… skips some keys?? So I have to find the damn config file and edit it by hand.
I wish there was a “steam input” for mouse and keyboard.

I’m quite certain most VRAM-hungry games have texture quality settings in the menu.

I have a cool story about that too
in 2024 I was downloading FTL: Faster Than Light mods and noticed one of the modded ships is misaligned: clipping the bottom of the screen and leaving empty space at the top
I asked the modding community, they said “you’ll need to dig around Slipstream ship editor” but after an hour of trying to make the editor see the modded ship, I just decided – fuck it:
I went into the mod files, dug around for the ship file and manually edited its .txt to re-align it, was done in 5 minutes, after just a few crashes and readjustments
never underestimate the power of just editing the file directly

There’s too many games out there to play to engage in this kind of crackhead behaviour, lol
