I still sometimes call new GPUs “GTX” for force of habit

G doesn’t necessarily mean GTX, it can mean GeForce, potentionally focusing on the RTX series.

Oh yeah like my GT520M which still works
WindowsVista64x
Mine doesn’t even perform well either
GTX 1650 mobile
I’ve basically been stuck just playing really lightweight games because of how laggy things get

There is a point when your old tech stops being *poor* and becomes *cool* “still going strong”

My PC is amazing. Everything about it. Spared no expense. Went to MicroCenter today and dropped $40 on some cable sleeves and some right-angle adapters. Gotta be $2200 USD in this build so far, counting peripherals.
The outliar is the **GTX**1660ti.
Majorin_Melone
My dad still uses an 8800 GTS in his pc

Dumb question, where did the GTX line stop? The 1600 series?

Even the whole GTX nomenclature feels too new for me

Im running a laptop with a Radeon m340 graphics card a gtx 780 would be a massive upgrade for me

GTX 1080 Ti is a dinosaur ? Nahh it’s a modern GPU (equivalent to a RTX 3060).
AnonymousComrade123
I have the 1070 ti, don’t need much more. Every game I care about runs well on it, though I am kinda considering an upgrade to an RTX to play Doom TDA, but that’s only when a crack comes out, so it’s not really urgent.

I miss gtx, I really hoped they’d go back to it after raytracimg was just a standard feature.
Professional_Way1780
When I had my 1070 last year this is how I felt. It was a good card but kinda laggy on some of the new games.
Deeds013
My 980 died a couple weeks ago. Picked up a 1080ti for 170 bucks used
I still have my first graphiccard(gtx 650) in my shelf

I still game on a laptop when I’m out of town.
Gtx 1060 6gb.
I only run 1080p – but everything I play runs just fine. It runs hot – but fine.

I wanna laugh, but my 2070 Super is literally one generation away from this.
Nosemyfart
I know how you feel. I just very recently upgraded from a 1070 to a 5070. I was able to snag one at MSRP and holy hell, what an upgrade! Don’t get me wrong, the 1070 is still one hell of a beast too but it’s retirement time
Xmamel
what do you mean, my gtx ryzen 4080 ti super from temu works really well ?
