The dark aether story line is fantasy bullshit that destroyed all suspension of disbelief and makes the new games feel generic and childish. It’s like zombies for Fortnite kids.
The mode needs a return to form back to horror and survival. No loadouts. No gobblegums. BO1, WAW type stuff but in a modern setting. Imagine if they made a round based mode on MW2019? Gritty, dark, gory, set in war-torn refugee camps and military hospitals. Call it a virus instead of a pink magic crystal curse ffs.

Vanguard zombies had at least one good idea and that idea was to put pack a punched weapons In the mystery box so that there is still a use despite being able to start with any weapon

I liked bo3 and the maps are definitly fun, but earlier Zombie modes/maps are just more enjoyable imo. I want to casually play with friends and have fun without the need to open a guide all the time for things. Just give me the wonder weapons from the box god dammit! (Zombie Chronicles oc helped bo3 imo)
Also Chaos had so much potential storywise and i would have liked it more than the new storyline
