Can I ask a genuine question here – how do you expect to force a private company to keep servers open if they are no longer profitable?
What happens if a company goes bankrupt? Who keeps the servers open?
From an outsiders point of view this seems completely infeasible, but I’m interested to hear more.

For me, the worst part of this is that I live in Norway. This means that we get all the restrictions from the EU thanks to our EEA agreement with them, but none of the benefits, so even though this initiative and any benefits from it would affect us as well, we’re can’t actually vote or sign on these initiatives.

‘Cause it seems like everyone thinks they know what this would do, but even the guys running it are clueless. On their own site they’ve listed a bunch of failures with different bill and lawsuit attempts that they had no idea how to handle.
