I’m gona disagree with other comment, TRON is absolutely cyberpunk. While it’s *also* regular sci-fi the internal world of TRON is actually presented as totalitarian cyberpunk dystopia. Programs and I/O’s are persecuted, the MCP and later CLU rule with an iron fist, there’s seedy program nightlife and upscale program highlife, and lots of interesting technology. It’s almost neo-Cyberpunk because the sub-setting is a cyberpunk take on a futuristic environ.
