    It’s Linux, so nothing will work out of the box, and you’ll spend several hours researching all the stuff you need to install to make the experience bearable. Any technical problem you run into, the only other person in the world who has ever encountered it edited their post about it in 2013 to say “never mind, fixed it”.

    To be fair, it’s Arch based. I wouldn’t recommend it to a total Linux newbie.

    Well, they’re both kinda right. SteamOS is a highly customized version of Arch that isn’t really meant to be a desktop OS, but you could definitely do it if you know how. Anyone that actually wants to do that should probably try Bazzite first though.

    Always hard to know where Linux folks are coming from. They want everyone to think that Linux is this ultra-complicated thing, so it makes this look smart but then “It’s just Linux., grandma can use it.

    But the minute you have a single problem or have an nVidia card, you’re one stupid MF.

    We’re seeing two different understandings of the word “Can”.

    The first comment thinks of it as a synonym for “Should”. The second thinks of it in the context of “are you about to”
