I get this annoying bright white atmosphere while driving, it's especially awful in the desert, and even more intense during the daytime. The whiteness goes away in third person; however, I enjoy driving in FPP. I'm playing on max graphical settings @ 1440p, apart from (Film Grain, Chromatic Aberration, Depth of Field, Lens Flare, Motion Blur – which are disabled). Though I have enabled and tested each of these to see if they'd help, and they have not.

It’s ozone. It’s heat radiating off the asphalt

  2. I think it might be some HDR type thing where if most of the screen is dark, the brighter parts are made even brighter.

  3. The basalisk tank was the worst for me. Couldn’t see shit til it went 3rd person.

Auto exposure. Can’t do anything about it without using mods.

  5. HDR has to refresh and rerender every time you pause. A downside of the engine, it’s normally gone after few seconds.

It’s how lighting works. You’ve never looked outside from a dark interior?

As others have mentioned it’s a result of the lighting engine’s feature to mimic how our eyes adjust to light. It doesn’t really understand our ability to focus our vision and readjust the aperture of our eyes by focusing through things like windows of cars or houses. In most cars, to it, we are looking at a window to a brighter environment than the one we’re in. It ruins fpp driving a lot of cars for me

Did you offer fruit at a cherry blossom tree? I believe that’s pointing to some caves
