I thought this was well said and deserved more attention, I’m also posting this bc CoD should be embarrassed how dog shit they’re tournaments look compared to other games, hell Fortnite figured out scaling bigger tourneys before CoD LOL.
I do also think the lack of diverse inputs cripples the way this game is viewed, moving away from MnK is a big mistake in the growth of this game IMO.

Cod isnt a competitive sport game, it’s mario kart. Now watching csgo, dang.
All they have to do for mnk is remove visual stuff completely, no visual recoil, gun smoke etc

Nobody wants to watch aim assist vs aim assist. It all looks the same, is zero skill and has next to no hype moments
Cod not being big in Asia plays a huge part in this, nothing to do with input.
Competitive cod died with call of duty 4 promod back in 2011/2012,that was peak e sport for me, competitive 5v5 snd, no accessory, no perk and no killstreak ,1 sniper per team , 2 smg, and unlimited assalult. That was so fun to Watch, check yourself some fragmovie from that time you will already see the difference, oh and of course the scene was only on pc.
I hate to be that guy, but I still cannot believe people pay to sit in an arena and watch people play video games.
Does Fortnite only allow MnK for these type of tournaments?

i can understand how controllers need aim assist in a crossplay environment. but in the cdl where they GA everything they consider “Cheese”. Why does the pros use aim assist ? its controller vs controller.

I change to Fortnite it is leagues ahead of anything CoD has made it is so smooth to play the hit reg is good servers feel amazing almost zero cheating

This is why I believe if they had input based matchmaking that Mnk only lobbies would do better than this sub thinks. It is an absolutely massive market, but MnK players largely do not want to touch CoD because it can’t be taken serious.

I think wsow has been subpar b/c the game has been pretty bad since caldera. It wasn’t about aimbot battles it was about smokes disabling aimbot and then hitmarker hunting along with various iteration of lethals chucking
