I’d imagine that a game like Borderlands 4 is actually rendering a lot more things on screen at any given time than Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It’s multiplayer with more characters fighting, and it has more particle effects and explosions and the like. That doesn’t’ reflect the quality of the games. I KCD2 is probably my game of the year and I am not really interested in Borderlands 4.

gtx 1060 is 9 years old. the first time cryengine was on the scene you werent playing far cry with 9 year old gpu. But now you can play new games with an 8 year old gpu.

The person that made this meme clearly has never played Borderlands before. It is an extremely graphics intensive game.
It’s not like Fortnite cartoon graphic quality, it’s a very stylized graphic style, with lots of particles, distance rendering, gun effects, etc.
Also 2070 is from YEARS ago. If it required minimum a 3070 then maybe id get the meme.

People saying borderlands takes a lot more performance wise with it’s visuals but don’t mention how impressive the optimisation of kcd2 is especially walking through the heavy and full forests and getting that amazing lighting even on a card that’s 8 years old at this point. Really proud of them for how far they’ve come, firdt game was a mess when it dropped but they learned from it and improved.

Borderlands 4 – 50 interactable chests/containers, 100+ loot on the ground, 80 quick moving enemies, 4 player co-op, all of whom are also fast moving, jumping and throwing skills.
