I paid for my pro license like a decade ago. I paid once, and MS has kept their side of the deal ever since.
If you can pay 80$ for a cod game you can pay however much the official pro license goes for these days.

Friend heard i had nonactivated windows (at home) during our talk at work. I never bought a key in my life before. He looked at me weird when I told him that and I’m kinda worried. He then, went back into his cubicle. I get a message from him on whatsapp with clearly a key. He says don’t thank me, it was only 5 bucks. Showed me. It was 2019. Still works like a charm.
