I gotta know…did it make the move alive?

I always wrap my pc in a blanket, put it in the rear foot well and then wedge it in with pillows.

That’s a tragedy waiting to happen. Awaiting follow-up reddit post.

Like others said remove that gpu and lay it on its side at the very least against the seat buckled in no gpu.
a disaster waiting to happen for sure.
But people throw the dog in the back of the truck then go 50+mph down the road like a madman poor animals so this setup makes sense.

Oh no….ive moved many times and never took out my GPU and it works fine
insinylon
take off glass panel and GPU!!! nooouuuu

As everyone said lay it on its side and take the GPU out, it’s an heavy and long gpu so while driving you may put too much pressure on that pcie connector. gpu sag is already bad enough don’t add a bumpy road to it.
If you travel like that it’s a disaster waiting to happen right now.

You really should take the gpu out and put it down sideways , GPUs are getting heavier but the PCIE slot is the same as it used to be.

Back when I was in college, I’d bring my computer home for safety during the holidays.
I would tuck it behind the front passenger seat and make sure the seat pinned it comfortably in place.
I still have bad memories from when I moved out of the college apartment, my dad just chucking my printer in the back, and having to deal with major ink leakage.

This has to be bait. I built my first PC in Feb and the first thing I did seeing this Pic was zoom in to see if they’d at least put something in there to support the GPU.

GPU will vibrate along the road no matter what suspension you have. Best pull it out along with hdds imo

Thank you, everyone, for pointing out the possible dangers of the way I’m keeping my PC supported in the seat. I will be more attentive of it in the future, but to try and put everyone’s mind at ease, I am the passenger and am basically hugging the case, supporting it. And the GPU itself has a support bracket that is connected straight to the MOBO
Though I will definitely do a follow-up, as yall did make me a little worried lol

The irony with the seatbelt 😂 hope you see these replies in time, OP. I hope your PC makes it back safely.
