Sounds like something they had to do because of a court order. Would love if somebody from Korea could look up what the court order actually says.

“The core issue revolves around Nexon claiming that Ironmace used assets and ideas from Nexon’s unreleased project, P3, to create Dark and Darker. Nexon alleged that Ironmace, composed of former Nexon employees, utilized assets, code, and ideas from P3 while working on Dark and Darker. Despite a South Korean court ruling that Ironmace did not infringe on P3’s copyright, they were found liable for infringing on trade secrets and ordered to pay a penalty.”

Hopefully steam follows suit, would love a refund for my legendary edition.
i don’t really see this going well with nexon, companies still don’t own creative rights to assests, didn’t work for konami (or was it square) a few months ago it’s really not going to work for nexon either
gerard2100
I don’t get why, the game is legal and all lawsuits are over.
Noktawr
How long till steam follows?

Dude, with how fast and frequently Nexon moved that goalpost and the fact that all of this evidence wasnt found u til after the game was released? I wouldnt be surprised if they had an employee find a place in the canned P3 project to “find” some of Dark and Darker’s code.

One of the cons of digital only gaming is they can remove or modify things from your license library.

Yet another example of why DRM-free is the only way to go.

Remember, digital is never ownership. They can take things away whenever they like. This is why we still need physical releases.
ChattClouds
I got it with the legendary upgrade for free. It was terrible.

guy_blows_horn

Gornub
God, you know you fucked up when you make Nexon look like the good guy in this.

I liked this game in the beginning but now if you try to play a regular match, you run into people teaming and they just steam roll the server. That and they introduced broken classes that have infinite heals. The original 6 classes were good though. The first couple of play tests was a magical time with friends, no game could recreate that feeling at the time.
Responsible-Top3646
Goes to show you don’t own shid when you buy from epic games
Responsible-Top3646
This is why I buy at GOG whenever I can. You actually own the games

If steam takes something off a store, people who bought it get to keep it.
