After five tumultuous years, Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake is now “deep” in development

Ubisoft probably spent all that time brainstorming how to include time saver packs and microtransactions in a remake of a ps2 game

Yeah but it’s Ubisoft, they consider the gamer’s wallets to be a given.

    Hard pass

I hope it has Persian dub like in The Lost Crown.

I just hope they make it a bit longer and flesh out the combat a little. Aside from those two fairly minor complaints, it was a great game. They could start by folding in some of the differences between the GBA version and the Xbox/PS2/GC version, like a fight with a big bird that was in the GBA version but not any of the others.

It was such a charming game! It felt a lot more in the spirit of the other games than the Warrior Within, where suddenly there was metal music and the Prince sounded like an angry anime character.

If this does well I’m going to be so excited it’s one of my earliest franchises
    I’d love all 3

Well, fuck! We’ll never see the rest of the trilogy.

This game is bound to miss whatever Ubisoft absurd financial expectation after all these years, and we’ll never see a follow up. Just like Lost Crown.

But fear not. We will get 20 more Assassin’s Creed titles in the next handful of years. Cause that’s all Ubisoft can do, apparently.

Will it also include a remade remake of the OG PoP once you complete the main game?

  9. i wonder if they decided to put more effort into prince of persia, once they realized assassin’s creed’s popularity was dying out? maybe they’re treating this as more of a reboot at this point?

  10. I sometimes wonder what would have realized in 2021 if it was never delayed lol

  11. and if it requires that silly Ubisoft account I won’t be buying it.

I do hope it’s good, though.
