Hi so my girlfriend’s birthday is coming up in a week and I would love to build her a surprise gaming pc for Sims 4. She currently uses mine and likes to download mods. Maybe in the future I can upgrade her once she starts branching out to other games or her storage starts to fill up. But can I build her a gaming pc for $300? The last pc I build was for $800 and this was in 2018, I still have the pc and even for today’s standards I have high fps and good results, so this won’t be my first rodeo, I have some knowledge in the pc world. She loves lilo and stitch and I planned on getting her this case from Amazon because of the colors.

Hello Accomplished-Cry761, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

all due respect your getting nothing for 300 unless your going to scrounge for parts in second hand places. 300 is no where near enough for a gaming pc, you could probably get away with a integrated GPU if you need to be within budget and new, but you’ll need at least 400-500$ for a GAMING pc with a GPU, and with that budget you would still be on AliExpress.

  4. Used parts will be your friend. Get a new power supply and ssd but used everything else.

A second hand ryzen cpu with onboard graphics will be plenty for the sims 4 and most other lower end performance games.

  5. Isn’t this case like half the budget already?

For 300 you’re not getting anything remotely decent if buying new. Buy something used, clean it up and move it to this case if you really want the aesthetic.
