I mean I’d buy it, but I already have it on PS5.
This may be the first time where Square Enix can say that “sales didn’t meet our expectations” and I’ll believe them.

Yeah well that usually happens when you release console exclusive for a year or more. Those who want to play it did or stopped caring. So porting it to new systems will never do gangbusters.
I mean anyone who reeeeally wanted to play it probably already got it on PS5 or Steam.
Sorry, I spent all the money I had allocated to Final Fantasy stuff on Magic The Gathering cards. I’ll buy it later.

They bloody shadow dropped it. The first time I saw that xbox version got released was with the digital foundry coverage.
It’s a semi wonder it got sold at all.
It came out 2 years ago on PS5 and 9 months ago on PC. I think that most people who really wanted to play have already found another system to play it on.
Also, looks like they are asking $50 USD for it. Which seems a bit much for a game that they took 2 years to port. Games lose a lot of their appeal after 2 years and the FOMO is gone. If they’ve already waited 2 years they probably won’t mind waiting a little longer until they can get it on sale.
If they can wait 2 fucking years to deliver a port, they can wait another 2 fucking years for me to wait until it’s in the bargain bin.

1. It’s not that great of a rpg. Boss fights are cool, that’s it.
2. Xbox users don’t buy many games due to gamepass users.
Honestly aside from the nice graphics it’s prob one of the worst final fantasy games.

Weird. It’s almost like… now hear me out here. It’s almost like getting completely left out a couple years ago and then being handed a game and asking nearly full price for it had some kind of negative effect on the excitement and enthusiasm of the playerbase of said excluded party.
I bought it on PS5 and again on Xbox. And I’m happy to see Square stop their bullshit third party exclusivity nonsense but the bed they’ve made up until FFVII Remake and Rebirth are also on Xbox… they can shut the fuck up and lay in it.
Mid entry doesn’t deserve anything more. The game is just a giant cinematic

What did they expect. They released it on PS5. A year later PC and another year later Xbox. People who wanted to play it had two years to play it on two other systems. If they want more sales then maybe put the game on all systems at once. Instead of trying to triple dip.
