I know I could play bo3, but i mainly wanna do bo1 cause:
1) It has "Five" and Call of the Dead
2) I cant justify downloading 111 gigabytes atm 😭
But i did want to check if it works without internet on Steam since i see mixed responses regarding it
Like supposedly you can edit files to get it to work without internet, but is that really necessary? I dont really wanna edit or mod files to get it to work, as if it doesnt work without internet in its default state then i dont think im super interested in it atm 🙁
But thank you to everyone who replies, i really do appreciate it! Its just so annoying how many cod games these days need internet for their zombie modes and it's difficult to find answers sometimes

Dang 111 gb seems high for bo1 even with dlc. I think mine is only like 30-40gb
Short answer is no. Long answer is that simply trying to click “zombies” in the menu when not connected to the internet would make you face an error message and return you to the menu, but that can be bypassed by launching the maps through console commands as per [this guide](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=753951537). It’s safe to edit the config.cfg file, the game does it all the time.
