If CODM development/design team can take any old/new models for skins why can't they use fan made or an interesting skin design.
Like for example a lot of people/YouTubers have designed some for fun and they are actually interesting! Like we could have them as in game draws or Collabs with the community, or free stuff like the resent ones.

They already did a contest on character skin design for 5th Anniversary, it was that free Dusk skin that everyone get by the way
And as to why they don’t really pick fan made/Youtuber designs and all, they try to avoid doing so mostly to avoid paying royalties/legal issues really, even if the designer said “you guys can use my design for free no problem” because some people would absolutely do malicious thing and all
My guy you got down voted because you repeatedly said that nobody was talking about how the ak117 skin was from a different game. You kept making broad generalized statements that weren’t true because many many people talked about where it came from. You didn’t really mention anything about using fan made designs.
Anyway regardless of all that they probably don’t use fan made designs because they’d have to pay people for them. They already pay people to do skins, so why would they go out and make special arrangements with random people on the internet to do something they already have people doing? It would be fun for sure. That one guy that designs those mythic skins makes some really cool stuff. They could do another fan contest and maybe they will for the next anniversary. I guess we’ll see.

Understandable. People are very unknowledgeable about the game nowadays. I tried to prove myself that I was playing with bots with the concrete evidence I had that is 1 year with of research and they still won’t believe me.
Don’t bother wasting time people with these people, because they have terrible attention spans.
Another instance is when some guy was complaining around the sentry gun bug where the hitboxes were broken and couldn’t been hit at all. Instead people argue that you can just use an emp grenade. The bug got fixed but OP at that time was mad
