It’s likely referencing the US or NUS flag, similar to how 6th street iconography rifs on the stars and stripes. SoCal, NoCal and NC all have flags that look distinctly different from what we see on V’s jacket. I’d imagine that regardless of whether you live in the NUSA or not, Americana still appeals to many people.

no idea but it’s weird to have something nusa related on johnny jacket originaly in older trailers it had another logo
it seems the jacket has been retconned to be johnny’s at some point in developpement cause it look out of place for his time and some stuff on it doesn’t match johnny personality, not to mention in older trailer v had it before dex shoot him
