I recently bought a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a 2TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus from Amazon for my new PC build. Amazon promised overnight delivery, but after four days of painful waiting, the package still hadn’t arrived. I reached out to customer support, and the automated bot sent out a replacement for both items.
The very next day, the replacement CPU and SSD showed up. Meanwhile, the tracking for the original order said, “Your package might be lost” and I was given the option to request a refund. I did exactly that and after 3h the money was credited back to my Amazon account balance.
Two days later, the original "lost" package actually arrived. Now I have two CPUs and two SSDs… all for the price of none. Well technically, I got them completely free. Honestly, I think Amazon should disable the refund option once they ship out a replacement, as it’s kind of a loophole.
So now I’m wondering if should I return the extra CPU to Amazon, or just sell it? It’s kind of funny, as I might actually profit from this mess.

Just sell it and further upgrade your pc.🥴🥴
congrats.. happy for you….. nice..
If looking to sell PM me, I can PayPal. Looking to upgrade my kids computer
Time to return a CPU and SSD….

Have seen some similar post like yours. Unfortunately, I have no idea what happened after them. Honestly, my personal opinion is contact them and explained the situation. If Amazon said it’s yours, you can keep them guilt free. If they said you have to paid for initial order and return extras, you can ask for some extra discount for all the troubles they caused.
can i have one pretty please
Sell the extra cpu , keep the ssd’s

just keep saying AI never makes mistakes
Id be careful, they might realise the screw up and ask for the money
sell them all and get better components
If sold by Amazon I would keep but if it’s Mom and Pop PC then I return.
“Please lord I’ve seen what you’ve done for others”
You know what you should do, but we all know you won’t.

They did the same thing to me. I bought an Oled steamdeck and they sent me two. The wife was happy
I’d be happy to take the extras off your hands! 😁
That’s hot

Bro the most Amazon gives me is delivering my shit to the wrong address
WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO EVERYONE EXCEPT FOR ME?!!?!!?
I have a 7900x. 😢.
Lucky
You jammy barsteward
I feel like you got the balance of my bad luck. Bought a 5700x3d and it died after 3 months and the company I bought it from split into two halves and neither half will honour my warranty

OP: I ordered one, and got two.
Internet: no you didn’t, you got one, don’t ever tell anyone anything about this ever.
If you sent the extra back Amazon would probabaly say you sent the wrong item and then charge you lol.
I’m starting to think this sub is falling victim to an Amazon guerilla marketing scheme.
“Order on Amazon, and you have a chance to get way more than you paid for.”
This is like the 10th post this week alone.
… or they are just that regarded.
Why not publicize it to make Amazon aware.
I ordered a desk from them last Christmas. Two of them were delivered, the boxes were strapped together.
