MindsEye Invokes Memories Of Cyberpunk 2077 As PlayStation Begins To Issue Refunds

It’s funny because I’ve literally never heard of this game until it came out and bombed.

  2. iamjackstestical

Yeah, no. This is not like the cyberpunk situation at all

  3. This game is very shallow. Cyberpunk was bugged but had the depth of a great game. Mindseye would be a bad game even if perfectly optimized.

  4. This pile of dog shit needs to be pulled off from all gaming platforms and deleted like it never existed.

  5. I mean, sure, but the only similarity being just that, Sony needing to waive their refund policy.

Cyberpunk needs to stop being the “rule” for troubled launches and properly recognized (along with NMS) as the exceptions.

Cyberpunk atleast had a great game under all of its technical issues at launch. This game not so much. Even if it ran perfectly fine it wouldn’t change the fact the actual game is just not very good.

*”A delayed game is eventually good, but a MindsEye game is forever bad”* – Miyamoto

Is mindseye that game from the rockstar owner who jumped ship?

This is everyone’s daily reminder that preordering is a bad idea and should not be something you do in 2025. It promotes bad habits by the devs and publishers.

I still don’t know why studios keep doing this, they lose alot more money by issuing refunds and never selling the game than if they were to just delay it another year or two.

Don’t know anything about this game. Honestly just surprised people still buy games day 1. There are people who make a living reviewing games, let them play it first. If there is no review code you can wait a couple days, or god forbid, a couple weeks…

Not justifying for a poorly optimized/designed game but information is easily available nowadays. You CAN avoid purchasing crappy products with very minimal effort.

Never heard of MindsEye until it came out whereas Cyberpunk was heavily promoted and people were expecting it to be fantastic given CDPR handling of the Witcher franchise

  13. Oh my god. Though this was getting some serious foreshadowing just before launch. I didn’t even know it existed until then.

I never had one issue with CP2077 on PC, it always ran great for me.

  15. I mean, Cyberpunk 2077 at release was just a buggy dumpster fire but you could easily tell there was an amazing game underneath all this jank, this piece of crap is just that – piece of crap with no redeeming features.

Ironing out the bugs won’t change that.

Besides the technical dramas, is this game worth a look? Haven’t given it any attention.

  17. Potential_Let_6901

I am sure it was not playstation that issued refund for Cyberpunk.

  18. Potential_Let_6901

No one bought this game, what refund??? What a clickbait.

  19. Some dude was playing it live on TikTok and was bashing it. The audio sounds of the weapons were annoying, wasn’t even open world, it seemed like a Temu ‘Just Cause’.

Also never heard of the game till yesterday.

Except Cyberpunk was never a bad video game it just released with a bunch of technical issues. MindsEye is a bad video game that also released with a bunch of technical issues.

It’s nothing like cyberpunk. Cyberpunk was an amazingly ambitious game that released before it was ready. It had amazing art design, acting, voicing, atmosphere, pretty good story, etc. at launch. It was missing optimization, and bug fixing – and it released for platforms it shouldn’t have released for, because they were too weak to run it properly (PS4).

This crap has nothing going for it. Even with all bugs fixed, it wouldn’t be a great game.

  22. Yeah but at least cyberpunk eventually became what it should’ve been at launch.

This game is going to be abandoned.

  23. For about a week this game got a massive ad push out of absolutely nowhere, so I am guessing the executive level basically knew they had an unfinished/garbage game, and wanted to see if they could trick a bunch of people into buying it before the gaming community realized what a turd it was.

  24. Bakedfresh420

Never heard of it, also I put 60 hours into Cyberpunk 2077 when it came out and I loved it

  25. This game gonna be fire in 2-3 years when the ultimate edition drops.

  26. LukeD1992

But but but it was made by the studio of an ex-Rockstar dev.

Seriously, I feel like this was the main selling point of the whole thing. Turns out, the game is nowhere near the quality standards of Rockstar

Cyberpunk at least was a good game at it’s core even if the issues were bad on last gen consoles. PC and PS5/XSX and even PS4 Pro/Xbox One X were pretty bad aswell but still i have multiple friends that played it in the first month and encountered few bugs and finished it. One of them streamed it and got no bugs funny enough on PC.

This game is ass fundamentally, no amount of patches will fix it.

  28. DamnImAwesome

Shout out to the people who got mad at me when I said this game was gonna be a disaster

  29. Completely avoidable, totally predictable. CEOs force the release, development team will get laid off.
