Oh man I remember playing mech assault with my big brother on the OG Xbox as a kid and just thinking it was the coolest thing I’d ever seen. Mech assault, Spartan total warrior, Star Wars republic commando, Halo combat evolved… the games that made me love gaming. Thanks for bringing that to mind.

Mechassault such a classic I know everyone is saying it but I would do anything for a remaster played it so much as a kid

Just in case anyone isn’t aware, as it hasn’t been mentioned yet, MechAssault is a part of the Battletech Universe, which has multiple tabletop games, tons of novels, and multiple other games.
None of them are quite like MechAssault, as it was the more arcade-like game, but MechWarrior takes place in the same universe and you have a lot of the same mechs (though MechAssault takes place further in the timeline than the modern MechWarrior games, so some models may not be included).
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a bit of a sandbox game where you raise a mercenary company. MechWarrior 5: Clans is a bit more of a linear story structure, and MechWarrior Online is just a pvp shooter.
All of them lean more towards an action/ sim vibe, but I highly suggest checking out Battletech!
