The game has SO MUCH STUFF in it, absolutely it won’t have splash art for most things anymore.

Not anymore. I get you. I too collected splash arts especially the guns. Now this moved to legendary and mythic tier. Too many epics guns and characters are now in game, so I think they stopped making art for epic tier.
