After Forza and Gears, it’s only a matter of time.

Some1 help me understand retail API means it’s ready to be listed right? Whether a shadow drop or pre order, also wouldn’t this include trophies? Maybe they can identify the game

I’m all for Halo going to PS/Switch but surely you’d want their first experience of Halo to be the first game in its absolute best quality which is likely the remake not a ported version

What a wild time we live in. It reminds me of the mindblowing moment when Sonic Adventure 2 came to GameCube.
I know the article states that it’s likely not the Master Chief Collection. And if Microsoft is planning a Halo: Combat Evolved Remake for next year, it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the reason why. I believe MCC has the Anniversary Edition of Halo: CE, so maybe it would be seen as a possible cannibalization point?
Halo: Infinite is certainly more likely. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed if that were the case.

Hope they get to work on porting halo 5 to pc soon also. I know it’s not the best in the series but it’s the only one missing.

this is history, the console war is finally getting to an end

If so, RIP Xbox.

So genuinely curious, not trying to hate at all, what is the point of buying an xbox over a ps5 or pc now and dont say gamepass because i can just get that on pc i dont need an xbox for that so is there no point besides if you’ve had one forever and sunk too much money into it?

So many Xbox L’s, Xbox Done.

Clever move by Microsoft. Gamepass as a service on all platforms is a great product, and the wider reach it has, the better.

The Halo 1 Remake for 2026 is also rumored to be only the campaign. No multiplayer.
This could be Halo Infinite (multiplayer only). It would actually make a lot of sense. If the Halo CE remake isn’t bringing new multiplayer, then Infinite will remain the primary Halo multiplayer experience for years to come.
It’s also free to play, so it would probably have an absolutely massive launch and revitalize the game, and give Microsoft those sweet Games as a Service micro transactions.
Porting the campaign wouldn’t make sense, but it has always been bundled separately from the f2p multiplayer anyway.
