Honestly I don’t mind history books wiping Vista as an OS.
Instantly reminded of that. The MacOS taskbar is literally the same as Vista. I remember disabling the Aero option as my GPU couldn’t handle it.

Going back to the days of Leopard and Snow Leopard macOS had plenty of glossy effects and transparency. This isn’t anything new but rather a reimplementation of what used to be now that everyone is realizing we went too far with the flat look.
Honestly, haven’t we all been complaining about how flat modern operating systems look? I much prefer some sort of tactile thing and even though I don’t know if this execution is perfect it’s better than Windows 11 which seems to be going for corporate chic.
Umm Vista Aero was heavily inspired by [Mac OS ‘Aqua’ UI](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aqua_(user_interface)) that was out there since January 2000.

Apple’s been “inventing” things their competitors have already had forever.
The physics part of it seems similar to what Google is doing with their next Android redesign.
