I recently saw this build on pcpartpicker, and fell utterly in love with it. Took a while for all the components to arrive (looking at you, GPU…) but now it's all setup, I'm completely enamoured with it. I've set all the LEDs to 25% brightness, with a small amount of blue, to try and preserve their life as long as possible, but even in the daytime, it's still plenty bright. The M2A and M2D slots are populated with Gen5 in A and Gen4 in D to preserve the 16x PCIe lanes for the GPU, however, looking at benchmarks, even if I was to populate the M2B/C and drop the GPU to 8x lanes, it barely dents performance.
