I could not find any news about this and my steam copy still works, though it might be possible that only the first activation is broken and as I installed it a long time ago it still works.

For about a month bless I can’t get far cry 3 to work. It won’t boot from steam at all. Only way to play is to go into the install folder and open it there but trophies and stuff don’t work. Further showing Ubisoft connect is just an extra layer of bullshit.

I can’t understand the concept of buying a game and being dictated when to play it. It’s like a few years ago and I think in some cases even today you have to be connected to the internet to play even a single player game. It’s just ridiculous.

Report the game on the Steam Store page. On PC, there should be a Flag-Symbol besides the “Embed” Button below the “Steam Deck Compatibility” section.
Try playing star wars squadrons, same shit, only of you buy it from EA store works fine.

I think I heard from someone that you can “force it to work” if you add a line to hosts file that redirects their shut down drm server to localhost ip.
