“You have to learn not owning your game” Ubisoft

It’s time to Sail the high seas.

  2. It’s not a new thing.

Ubisoft is a shit company you should avoid.

Yep and you aren’t allowed to get refunds.

Assassin’s Creed 1,2 and 3 are all dead and unplayable but no refund allowed

Bet you could find some ‘archived’ files online

    This is super scummy tho

Wait, you need to be online to actually play? How did they bricked it?

I have Assassin’s Creed™: Director’s Cut Edition on my wishlist, is that bricked too? If it is, I won’t buy it ._.

Are you sure this is not a problem with your pc?

I could not find any news about this and my steam copy still works, though it might be possible that only the first activation is broken and as I installed it a long time ago it still works.

Wait, I just played this game a month ago, worked fine then.

A little Benefit of doubt here. That appears to be an issue since last week (june 4) and might get fixed while we are talking. If not, fuck them.

For about a month bless I can’t get far cry 3 to work. It won’t boot from steam at all. Only way to play is to go into the install folder and open it there but trophies and stuff don’t work. Further showing Ubisoft connect is just an extra layer of bullshit.

  11. Is ubi store properly validating games license

Yohoho and a bottle of rum!

I can’t understand the concept of buying a game and being dictated when to play it. It’s like a few years ago and I think in some cases even today you have to be connected to the internet to play even a single player game. It’s just ridiculous.

Try playing star wars squadrons, same shit, only of you buy it from EA store works fine.

Same with Burnout Paradise on Steam (even though its EA). The managers just dont care to assign 1-5 people to fix stuff like this.

  16. I think I heard from someone that you can “force it to work” if you add a line to hosts file that redirects their shut down drm server to localhost ip.

They also bricked the disk I got with my first PC.
