    TL;DR

A few months ago, an artist named Zalkian created and gave away a few Pokémon prints to his collectors, but Nintendo tried to stop him. However, a judge ruled that since he didn’t profit from it, it falls under fair use and he’s allowed to do it. [(source)](https://artepad.com/2025/05/22/how-nintendos-failed-attempt-to-shut-down-artist-turned-him-into-the-banksy-of-pokemon/)

Since then, he started a series where he gives away a couple of Pokémon prints for free occasionally through a [draw on his website.](https://zalkian.com/)

To make sure the prints go to fans of the hobby, he requires proof that you own a Pokémon card to enter the draw.

Since his Pokémon prints can only be obtained through the giveaways, are very limited in numbers (less than 40 total prints exist), and due to their “rebellious” origin, they gained grail status and are reselling for mid five figures on the secondary market. Every day Nintendo continue to prove they are no longer worthy of my investment.
