From the other thread about this it is apparently necessary to explain that this is NOT the same Game Informer that’s been around for the last few years. It was previously owned by GameStop, but was sold to its writers and editors and has been relaunched. Please keep your snarky, pointlessly cynical comments to yourself. This a GOOD THING and exactly what we need to see more of.

Awesome! I loved getting those in the mail. Now if only Nintendo Power would make a comeback…

Fuck… like I know they are independently owned now but I’m still feeling burned after they canceled the last push they did for the physical magazine. The price increase while understandable also doesn’t feel great when everything is just getting more and more expensive.

It’s crazy how you used to get the magazine for $19.99 a year + all the gamestop benefits. Print media really is in a rough spot right now.
I still signed up

While I’m happy to see GI back, I have concerns about the owners. Gunzilla games only has 1 product: a battle royale game that hasn’t yet fully released, but is packaged with NFTs.

I ended up signing up for it, there’s barely any game magazines in print so I wanted to support them. I wish GamePro would come back too

I signed up for the subscription right before they closed – wonder if they’ll honor the remaining issues.

Oh hell ya, just signed up

Just got a yearly print subscription. Game Informer was such a big part of my childhood. There were few things more exciting than having a new Game Informer come in the mail and getting to learn about all the new things coming. That magic will forever be gone as we get updates instantly from the internet but still happy to support them.

Gaming Mags were such a key part of growing up for me. I remember over the years seeing less and less, until I only ever saw Game Informers. I still loved flipping through them though.

Yep, truly enjoyable turning page after page full of ads… quality stuff.

Damn, the print ones are US only.

Don’t trust any of these game magazines anymore. It’s just journalists lecturing us on how we’re supposed to act, and what we’re supposed to buy.
