I’m legit impressed with how this game looks on switch 2.

This is hand held on performance mode not even quality mode. Docked it looks even better.

I have a steam deck and switch 2 and it plays and looks much better on switch 2.

It’s not perfect by any means, I’ve seen some visual glitches here and there, and this screenshot I took was during a scene where things looked exceptionally good, but they did a phenomenal job porting this game.

Why play a game like 2077 on something like a switch? That sounds like such a handicap and downgrade. The switch was not designed for games like 2077. It was made for things like Mario. Stick to a PC if you want the true experience in playing a game like 2077.

We are still supporting Nintendo? That sounds like something a Corpo would do. Hmm.

I don’t understand why people give Nintendo a pass. It’s 2025 and their brand new console can play a game from 2020 and make it look as good as it does on a console from 2016 (PS4 Pro). This is not impressive whatsoever.

I know it’s portable, etc., and I understand I’m just not the market. But I just think it’s really hard to be impressed by this.

And I’m legit both impressed and a little surprised that people are actually buying a Switch 2.

But hey, to each their own. Corpos always get paid, I suppose.

I’d rather just play it on my Series X and PS5 Pro. I say that as someone that bought a Switch 2 yesterday. I could never comfortably play shooters on Switch in handheld mode and docked mode is pointless when I have 2 consoles that can run the game so much better.

what is with the weird switch 2 hate? did everyone not buy what they played cyberpunk on from a corporation of some kind? lol

How’s the battery life? Some people saying less than an hour, which gives me flashbacks to trying to play it on steamdeck. I’ll be happy to get an hour and a half on a game like this. But I always keep a 65w battery pack with me anyways, as an rog ally x player, so maybe not an issue.

Dude. Post on nintendo. Im sorry. The rest of the world has woken up years ago…we dont fuck with it

  10. Looks blurry and fuzzy. Sure Nintendo don’t prioritise graphics but christ they’re consistently 2 generations behind. I played cyberpunk on PS4 and it looked better than this.

  11. 1080p/30fps is not how a game like Cyberpunk 2077 should be experienced. Playing this game on Switch 2 is like eating cold fries or drinking warm beer.

It’s legit a slideshow. you might as well be thumbing through low res screenshots.

  13. It’s technically impressive, and I’m sure it punches well above its weight much like the original Switch does.

BUT I do feel a bit sorry for people who will only experience this game on that hardware; it’ll still be good, but there is a whole other level of appreciation possible at 4K with ray-tracing set to max. (I played through a few times on a 2060, came back to it with a 4070 for PL, *what* a difference.)

    How’s performance mode run?

I just secured my switch 2 this morning and it gets here Monday. Planning on triple dipping on cyberpunk lol. Just gotta know if it’s a reliable 40fps as that’s what I heard.

Looks and runs better than on my computer for sure!

  16. Frosty6700

Pretty surprised. I don’t see a reason to get it for Switch 2 since I have a great PC, but I’m glad those who’ve never experienced Cyberpunk 2077 can now do so, and it still looks decent!

It’s one of the best games i’ve ever played.

I played it at first release and told everybody it was going to be a classic, and everyone crapped all over it.

Yes it was buggy, yes the perk and item systems got way better in 2.0. Initial release was an unfinished product.

Yet I could tell it had potential to be 10/10, and i’m extremely happy they got the funding to overhaul it and we are lucky to have such a game.

Yep, it looks so familiar for the people we have myopia.

  19. I haven’t decided whether I’ll be getting this for Switch 2 or not. On the one hand, it’s one of my favorite games of all time. On the other hand, I already have it for PS5 and PC, and I’ve got a Steam Deck, so I’ve already got it portable. So I probably won’t be getting it here unless there are exclusive features I’m unaware of, but I’m glad to hear that it’s a good port.

    I’m both impressed and confused.

Impressed because, even if it’s just 30fps @ 1080p, it runs on glorified phone hardware designed to play Mario, Zelda (which, granted, both look good), and Pokemon.

Confused because… why would they port it? I guess it’s to attract a broader audience than just <18 y/o and Nintendo fans, but people who wanna play Cyberpunk usually have a PS4, PS5, Xbox equivalent, or even a decent to good/great PC. Especially in the latter category the Switch just cannot compete. People who want it on console will probably invest in a PS5, and people who want it on the go will probably just use the Steam Deck, which was much more availability and performance in other games (as well as the ability to easily aquire games through… third party means).

Again, it *is* a feat to make a beautiful (and large!) game like this fit on the Switch 2, according to testers even with decent gameplay, but it’s just a big “Why?”

Imma stick with playing it on my Xbox. Even on my OLD Xbox it looked better than this on an absolute potato of a tv, and $500 for the switch 2 is insane

  23. Lemon_Club

Very impressed with the Performance Mode in Handheld mode rn, pretty smooth and it looks almost just as good.

Objectively the best way to play it on the go rn.

  24. trowawa1919

Too bad you don’t actually own any of that hardware and could lose it at any time, even if you use an off brand charger with a slightly wrong voltage.

  25. Free_Caballero

People when they hear about DLSS: >:(

People when they don’t hear about DLSS but is used anyways: wow great optimization for the game! Looks so good!

If they ever say they use frame gen too I guess people will lose their minds hahaha

I’ll give credit where it’s due: Cyberpunk is a lofty title to put on portable hardware, and it seems like it was done well. There’s still nothing that could convince me to buy a Switch 2 (or any Nintendo product, really), but I’m glad that those who do will be able to play Cyberpunk in some fashion. The more people we get saying “choom”, the better.
