Looking forward to this early next year! The first two Niohs were fantastic

  2. Can’t wait for this. I want to hear if we can make our own character again. Seems like we’ll have a character swap so maybe not?

  3. Can anyone explain if there is any significance of the character’s name at the end

I’ll be real. I thought Nioh 2 was dogshit. There are few games I try to return because I just don’t care enough, especially if I get it on sale like Nioh 2. But damn I didn’t like the game at all.

It felt unresponsive and the 3-stance system felt very clunky too. It just bounced right off of me.

  5. Really?

But I heard there wouldn’t be a Nioh 3… But then the non-Nioh release wasn’t successful I guess

That’s such a relief, honestly, can’t wait to see more info about it

Let’s gooo. If they keep that tight combat and just smooth out the rough edges, Nioh 3 could be insane.

Description talks about 2 styles: Samurai and Ninja which makes me worried. My favourite part of Nioh is how good combat system is with many weapons. I hope they wont streemline it to 2.

With Rise of The Ronin, AC Shadows, Ghost of Yotei, Onimusha, and now this. All great games and IPs but I’m starting to feel the samurai genre is getting a little saturated.

The Nioh series never grabbed me. I had fun with them, but item system, pacing and the re-use of locations makes it a bit tedious. Didn’t care about the story, because it was so easy to forget.

It has a bunch of cool weapons and armour, but it somehow felt limited. There are basically 10 different weapons with thousand different looks. The items seem to encourage min/maxing which I’m not a fan of. Luckily the games don’t punish you for ignoring that and just picking the items with the highest number. It is annoying when I play with a friend that loves min/maxing and is really good at it.

There were also way, way, way too few human enemies. Especially when it feels like the story ignores that the Yokai even exists. A lot of the coolest weapon skills only work against humans.

The story in Nioh 2 atleast felt all over the place. At the start of every big mission I felt like I missed something and almost every side mission felt unnecessary. Re-using maps just seemed to prolong the games and make tediousness set in.

They are fun games. Especially with friends. They just overstayed their welcome in my opinion.

A nitpick of mine with the game is that it is way too flashy. I wish I could remove the flashes and combo stuff when fighting because it made it hard to see what was going on at times.

Didn’t get to Nioh 2. Was it as good as the first one?

Don’t have PS5, but I do have a good PC. So hopefully this time it won’t be PS only for as long.

Too all the people who doubted me that there is gonna be another Nioh game. It came out sooner than later.
