If valve is so worried about it they should have the coaches in a separate room. I would just let the coaches call for 3 seconds to say “delay b tec9” or whatever so you don’t have this weird killjoy thing. Not long enough to explain anything new on the fly like a real timeout and you don’t have to worry about one team using code with shoulder taps, clapping, cheering, smoke signals, chess beads, etc. I know valve wants it to be like matchmaking where you don’t have coaches, but matchmaking doesn’t have coach timeouts either. So if you’re going to allow those why not make a small additional change for a better viewing experience where we can see coaches cheer.
Personally I think the utility of simple calls out of spawn is very low and this wouldn’t change things much. An IGLs biggest skill is mid round calling and the coaches main utility is making longer adjustments.
