I love the 1050ti but unless you play exclusively low spec indie games (which are fucking amazing btw, if you have a PC like this I very much encourage you to try some out) that PC won’t take you too far

Aaah the 1050ti 4GB…the GPU that stepped in when gpu prices were absolutely insane and my 1060 6gb got fried just weeks before elden ring launched. It fought valiently and ran it at around 50fps at…unsafe temperatures and blue screening sometimes, but dammit it got me through it and RDR2 at 45-50ish fps (around 36-40 in saint denis). It held on until I had the money to upgrade to the 3080 10GB I use today. Rest easy 1050ti, you deserve it.

Running a similar (albeit more powerful) system based on an HP Z240 right now, it runs Minecraft better than my 3 year old laptop (HP 15, i7 1255U, 16GB RAM, Iris Xe iGPU).

tbh, The GPU is outdated which sucks, but it runs games decently without any issues. I have a similar low-spec GPU, and it performs well on low and medium settings. so, probably the best budget in my own opinion.

if the pc plays your games how you like them, its an amazing pc.
Basically my computer, an HP Elitedesk 800 G1 TWR with a GTX 1650 and 4th generation Intel i5. Maybe someday I can buy some new parts, scrap half the components and make a sleeper build out of it.

Those were the days, nowadays their is not interesting 75w low profile gpu available
when I joined the military, i bought an alienware laptop in 2013 bc i liked gaming and figured I’d be traveling a lot.
black friday of 2013, i purchased it. christmas/new years break of 2014, the GPU went out and broke, right outside of the warranty.
in a rush and a panic of boredom, I went to the local bestbuy and scooped a $400 dell optiplex, and a 750ti. that started my gaming PC journey.
I used that for like 6 months until I built my own rig with a 1070 the following summer. but man that 750ti was awesome.
Here comes the circlejerk of people saying their 1050TI plays everything, just to go on and complain about modern games not being “optimized”
