Lol is anyone actually gonna buy this “game” . It should have been free software included with the console.
Even then, it’s kinda soulless.
Ps5 has astrobot and that’s a whole ass game, and a really good one too.
z3poxx
Makes sense, unlike the $10 asking price.

Because of course it does. The massive multi-billion dollar company has to squeeze every cent from their consumer. Best way to deal with that? Don’t freakin’ buy it (I don’t think anyone is lining up to buy a tech demo to begin with).
ItsMikeMeekins
it’s not a game, it doesnt have achievements, or a story, or whatever
the “content” is a tutorial about the switch, there’s no content to finish
also, dont buy a $10 tutorial for your console lol
WrongLander
So that’s 10 bucks for the game, 60 for the camera, and 85 for the Pro Controller.
Most expensive 100% file of all time?
mightymonkeyman
lol a paid system tour with physical add-ons or “dlc” for the young-uns.
Yea I’m skipping this rubbish.

AND THE GAME ISN’T EVEN FREE!?
What a jarring move, this game should be free, and it could have even served as an incentive to get the accessories to fully complete…
It seems Nintendo of Japan didn’t learn from Reggie’s wisdom, he fought tooth and nail for Wii Sports to be a pack in title with the Wii because he knew it would drive massive success, and he was RIGHT.
This game is a joke compared to previous free games, yet they want to charge for it 😂
Mayion
it’s like they have trauma from the Wii U lol
whisquibottle
So they’re not even using it to show off those accessories and convince you to buy them, instead they’re holding content hostage if you don’t buy them… That’s nuts.
DrVagax
I mean this makes sense right, this is meant to promote all the functionality of the Switch 2 including what accessories it launches with.
The price tag is another story but I am not surprised “need” the camera and controller to fully complete.
Ill-Ad3311
Nintendo should feel shame for this one not being free
MisterMath
If you buy a $10 tutorial for your console, I have absolutely zero interest in any complaint you have about it
LunarWingCloud
If Reggie was in charge at NoA this would have been free and pre-installed on every Switch 2.

lmao

This isn’t as shocking as you’re making it out to be.
Of course you need to own the camera if you want to test what the camera does. This is braindead.

34 mini games for $10 sounds pretty good to me honestly. Sounds like 1-2 I won’t be able to do, but at launch the alternative is $40 for two bravely default mini games to try out some of the new features on the system. I know I’m in the minority, but $10 isn’t much when I’m already paying $500 for the Mario Kart bundle

Remember when Nintendo was family friendly?
They now seem like a cash grab screw the consumer brand.

lol fuck this game anyone who buys it can’t complain.
bustylittlegf
It feels like a classic Nintendo move, but even by their standards, this is a bit much. The Welcome Tour should be a pack-in, free experience that showcases everything the console can do. Locking parts of it behind additional accessory purchases, especially stuff like a USB camera and a Pro Controller (which aren’t exactly cheap), just feels like nickel-and-diming. It’s not a good look, especially for a console launch.

Somehow, Nintendo fans will see nothing wrong with this.

So you need to buy this “game” (which is essentially a demo and manual for the console and it’s new accessories) AND you have to buy ALL of the accessories as well to finish it? (Which kinda makes sense – I mean, how are you going to learn how to use an accessory if you don’t own it in the first place?) That’s vile.
Resident-Forever1340
Lmao. The shitshow just keeps getting worse. If you’re in the market for a handheld and buy this garbage over a Steamdeck then you need your head examined…
