Hey, I figured this is the best sub to ask for advice for overclocking this old beast – I've seen many people with 1680v2 (8 core variant; which is quite pricey) running 4,4Ghz with 1,24-1,3v. With mine 1650v2 I am able to run 4,4 stable, but only above 1,35v – anything under throws errors in OCCT cpu benchmarks after 2 minutes. I've ran 4,5 stable, however at 1,43v, which seems high. I know its diminishing returns, maybe I lost in the silicon lottery.

Does someone with more experience spot something that I could have missed? Can I fix/ change something for it to work better?

Hardware: 240 Arctic III AIO, Rampage IV Extreme, E5-1650V2, 4X8GB Hynix 1866MHz, RM750X Corsair PSU, 6900XT from Gigabyte

Cheers!

Wish I remembered. I had both the 1650v2 and 1680v2 many years ago, let’s say 6/7
I can only compliment for your build and say good luck! Those were great chips.
