Playing the Demo on my 4080S in 4K max settings, Dlss on Performance at around 70-90 Fps. The game looks good so far but the performance is awful.

At the cost of an unoptimized game. Tech Reviewers will use this game as their benchmark to see how many FPS they get.

I saw the PC requirements to play at 4K. Wow! Will the console version be watered down visually? Running at 1080p and upscaling to 4k?

The animations and combat are dated as hell though

Was forced to use lower setting than their req listed and use FSR3 quality to even acheive 60fps while still having some ocasional dips and the usual shitty stutter UE have. The cutscens couldn’t even run at their cap 30fps and was constantly going under 15fps while it was super pixelated.

I wish they take more time optomising it because the game really pick my interest, especialy since it’s a souls like with a lower difficultt option. Combat would also need some polishing, it felt unresponsive. Not a fan of enemies that need to kill their red thingy before killing them making you fight multiple enemies at once.
The stamina reducing if your health is damaged ain’t my cup of tea but since you can heal mid fight after each atack as a skill it maybe can pass.
Enemy design is just bad imo.

    Unreal Engine 5 slob

Making a game look decent on this engine isn’t hard, what’s hard is coming up with good gameplay and performance optimization

Also, I’m already getting tired of seing the same visuals over and over again, slowly but surely I’m starting to appreciete artstyle more than pure graphical fidelity.

Black Myth: Wukong, Stalker, Tekken, Silent Hill 2, InZOI … It’s getting ridiculous

Would arguably call Kingdome Come II more pleasing to the eye than this. Just how crisp and sharp everything looks compared to UE5

I don’t even care about graphics anymore after the abuse of UE5 by developers. So many games now look great until you begin to play and there’s just jank everywhere and busted mechanics.

Bro is doing the developer slow walk and pan up/around

  8. danigiorgio

awful gameplay , just plain .. and performance is beyond bad..

You’re not playing on “4K max settings” You’re playing on 1080p max settings upscaled.

NVidia tricked their population by obfuscating the render resolution behind terms like “performance” and “quality”

I really want this game to be good, mostly because of the old school exploration. Keep hearing the combat is mid though.

  11. stop_talking_you

“picks ultra settings” and is confused why an experimental game setting is bad performing. just pick medium to high and you gain 50% more fps and it will look the same.

  12. Nic1800

It definitely looks pretty good, but there are way better running games (like Horizon FW) that simply look so much better.

  13. Another UE5 unoptimized garbage

I’ll take a pixel graphics game with original art style over this

  14. TheIndulgers

Game has terrible performance, and mid combat. Demo was unimaginably boring.

  15. melanthius

Looks about the same as any 3rd person hack and slash these days IMO, not exceptional not bad

  16. Soopah_Fly

Another game brute forced through UE5. I don’t think any major developer out there is willing to properly optimise games nowadays. They’d rather you just buy a beefier GPU and it’ll still run like shite.

  17. doomenguin

Mods for Crysis 1 and 2 look better than this trash; is this what impressive visuals are these days?

  18. shadowmage666

Only in 2025 is 70-90 fps “awful” performance for a brand new title that is pushing the limits of current gfx, smh

  19. kazuviking

All it took is one second to know its looks like how EVERY UE5 game looks. Its the UE5 looks that you just cannot get rid of.
