I am worried the "Pay to reload" option could come in the future…

  1. It was causing backlash and they dubled down on it today.

I like the game but not even the most popular mobile games do this.

at this point it’s not activisions fault, its the gamers who keep buying the reskinned game every year.

The irony with how many ads are in, around and layered over the article.

Well of course. How else am I supposed to know what gun to try next after the Terminator, Seth Rogen, and a bulldog teabag my corpse?

You do realize there is analytics tied to this, and they know who clicks it, and who buys after clicking, right? This is entirely on people with too much money (or zero self-control).

I am not defending it, but I don’t seem to have that, thankfully. But I’ve not given them any money and am only playing thanks to gamepass

For once, I’m so glad I’m so pathetically bad at CoD so I can avoid this nonsense.

Edited cause I’m also pathetically bad at spelling.

  9. But the game still has to have a base cost 70, soon 80 just to play

I really want to know what people who buy Cod every year are getting out of this. Like your entire personality has to be based around being a cod player to be eating up this shit from activision. Like it’s crazy how low effort shit to maximize money sells the same amount as something like elden ring.

  11. guys you know how to stop this right? the thing is can you quit cold turkey?

  12. Aggravating-Dot132

It’s predatory, yes, but at least it’s a skin pack for that weapon.

Wait till they will start advertising “touch some grass” pills or viagra through it.

Switching to your pistol is no longer faster than reloading.

I have not seen this at all, is it different for the EU?

This was my first COD game in a long time. Probably 5 or 6 years. I have been playing them since 2 on PC and for a long time bought them yearly. But coming back this year I was surprised at how much I got rubbed the wrong way with the constant monetization. Battle passes costing money in a paid game is weird to me. Sure you can do the free version by you miss out on everything. This isn’t even getting into the constant monetized mini events. Like I get that a company needs to make money but if you have your hand out every asking for more every time someone blinks their eyes it’s kind of gross. This was my last COD. And it’s a shame because I had a lot of fun in it.

This doesn’t even touch on how every patch introduced new bugs.

Incredibly clickbait headline. It’s when you swap builds. It’s still shitty but, at least be accurate.
