If you look at shards, AK falls in minor legendary pool, while the CR gun was categorized in major legendary pool.
So the devs consider this as an inferior legendary

I said the same thing myself it really did become faster and I think because the mythic AK-117 is done to most players now all that’s left is the Legendary AK or the Legendary AMAX

Ngl legendary skins are very wacky. It’s gimmicky version of mythic and “pretending to be better than epic”
While Epic Gun skins look far superior especially if you put on the gold or diamond camo.
