Damn. looks like i wont be enjoying it then. unreal 5 dislikes my computer.

  2. Least-Path-2890

I hope the movement is more Cyberpunk 2077 and less Witcher 3. Also, they better have Gwent or else.

  3. AbundlaSticks

UE5 😭 Breaks the immersion of so many modern games

  4. Tranquil_Neurotic

Man U5 has really being such a figurative “womp” “womp” on the PC scene. It actually gives a lot of PC gamers allergic reaction nowadays and now seeing how Witcher 4 will use it is making it less appealing, not more.

    Stuttering confirmed as main character.

Edit: A better joke would have been “Ciri confirmed to have a stutter in Witcher 4.”

  6. Fearless512

I love everyone bitching about UE5 despite the fact most gamers just played expedition 33 which runs on UE5 with no issues.

  7. Desolation2004

I’m expecting features of UE5 being in this game, like stuttering and ghosting.

  8. Vo_Mimbre

I don’t need pretty screenshots. I want a living world. If the artists can pull that off, then I’m on. But if they rely on the standard UE crap, it’s not gonna go well.

  9. Trenbaloneysammich

I wish companies used their own engines. Regardless of how they run, games all look the same now

  10. TheMightosaurus

I got a couple of coins for a Witcher that kills Unreal 5. It’s been plaguing these parts for a while now. Nothin but stuttering. We’re good folk, we just want things to run well on our overpriced graphics cards. Please master Witcher!

    Average Game dev cycles:

Make great game engine that makes your games great. Sell tons of copies. Make tons of money.

Decide to switch to Unreal Engine. Lose shit tons of money. Go broke. The end.

  12. nahnonameman

UE5 really needs improvements. Hopefully this game does it.

  13. CommunicationEast972

I love cdpr but they should just lay off promo a bit particularly on in game feature sets. CP2077 is my #1 game but that Marketing was disastrously overpromising lol

  14. IuseDefaultKeybinds

For all of you mad about the UE5 tech, just know that Expedition 33 uses it, and so do a lot of Amatuer devs.

    UE5 isn’t the problem.

  15. Oh let me guess one of the Unreal Engine 5 features… Stutters!

  16. risethirtynine

Sweet more unreal 5 crashes to look forward to every 45 mins on my 2080ti

  17. unreal engine 5 always a bad sign unless they miraculously fixed all the performance issues it had ever since it got revealed in 2022… which i highly doubt

  18. RVXZENITH

UE5 has become such a turn off, specially after playing the new Doom game which uses a proprietary engine that is 10x better

  19. MikeGalactic

Hopefully it won’t be the colossal rushed fuck up that is Cyberpunk.

  20. TheOneAndOnlySenti

    >Unreal 5

Pass. Fuck that engine. Struggle to get 60fps on a top of the line rig without slop scaling is comedic.

  21. I really don’t understand why they refuse to optimize modern titles, i’m sure The witcher 4 would run better in Unreal 4 and The witcher 5 in Unreal 5

  22. Let me guess… Badly optimized lazily used Nanite, forced-on raytracing and AI framegen that is the only way to get 60+ fps and causes massive input lag.

  23. TheShadyXL

I’m really curious to see how they handle the switch to UE5 and all the things they’ll do to make it more their own (since they have access to the source code and all). I’d love to see a video or read an article about what they’re doing with it. I hope they can improve the performance over standard UE5 (including shader compilation, streaming and the stutter issues).

  24. And a year and a half after release, they’ll update the Switch 2 version so it’s playable.

  25. levitikush

Gamers cry about fucking everything man, exhausting to follow game news.

  26. Oofric_Stormcloak

I wonder if CDPR will use Witcher 4 as a tech showcase for Unreal like how they used Cyberpunk as a tech showcase for Nvidia for years.

  27. In before everyone complains it runs like shit on their 1060.

  28. GuidanceHistorical94

Is this where the spouting Tim Sweeney’s talking points for 2 years only to release a game that has every single UE5 problem begins?

    I can’t wait.
