He was the greatest, no doubt. Loved watching his demos in 1.6

He was the goat
Synestive
In 1.6 he was the goat, in early GO he was decent and responsible for a lot of innovation that Virtus. Plow brought to the game, but by the middle/later stages of GO he was reduced to a low-impact IGL who would be better off coaching than being inside the server.
GO’s lack of focus on movement hurt Neo, as that was a pivotal part of his game. Pair that with a new engine (for him) and widening the ecosystem of players entering the game and you get what transpired.
For 1.6, he was like Niko rifling with M0nesy movement. He could simply do it all and carry his team regardless of the opposition. Those swedish lineups were so good, but NEO felt like a cheat-code. He put Polish CS on the map in a game that wasn’t previously considering them real contenders.

Goat in 1.6, solid in csgo

Feel like he might have peaked later? I quit 1.6 in 2008. But there were bigger names at the time

He had the type of movement and quality of execution people only showed in speedruns.
He was first person applying complex movement techs in specific spots the way players do and practice it now.
Brilliant aim, pistols and awping, superior instincts and sense of timing.
In mamy ways, neo was a prototype of type of player m0nesy is, as wild as it may sound.
