This just happened to me, in the middle of a youtube video. I did a hard restart however, and now it’s working like nothing happened.

Possible driver issue. Try DDU and reinstall drivers

  2. ChocoMammoth

    Well that looks very cursed.
But since it’s fixed after reboot I think it’s a driver that failed, not a GPU itself. Let’s hope it won’t happen again

Your GPU is hosting a secret lazer rave party, you just opened the monitor at the wrong time. The party is over now that’s why you can’t see it again.

I remember them old Kaleidoscope things as a kid, looks just like it lol.

Best to use DDU and remove the drivers, and reinstall them, would remove them in safemode though and disable the network connection so windows wont be windows and download drivers its self.

Check the cable itself too. It sometimes can be as simple as that. It’s happened to me.

For a moment I thought it was Ultrakill.

driver crash at best, faulty video memory at worst… unfortunately had the pleasure of dealing with both not long ago.

Did you accidentally put crack instead of thermal paste on your cpu?

GPU died give it to me /s (you should probably listen to the other people I have no idea what’s wrong with that thing)

My screen did this once on my old computer. Make sure your cable is actually connected to your good graphics card and not your internal one like an Intel basic card. I made that mistake once after cleaning out the dust and plugging stuff back in.

It’s not another glitch in the Matrix, I think they’re waiting for you this time…

    I think it’s having a stroke

Looks like a sick techno album cover. Sell the rights. Buy new GPU.

    looks cool
can you record hi-res and upload it on youtube?

Current Nvidia drivers have a known bug for visual corruption when playing a video.

I get occasional green flickers in videos, but nothing as bad as this.

    Try a different driver.

Got a 4080 super amp extreme showing small artifacts too 😔

  17. CockroachSea2083

Nvidia cards just always roll a 1/10000000 chance of doing this. It comes with the brand

Bad monitor to GPU cable connection or damaged cable.

  19. Marco_QT

Press windows+shift+ctrl +B (reset graphics driver)

Driver crash, had it happen to me once with my 3070ti, JUST after a driver install, but its not done it in about a year.

  22. inflatableje5us

Try a different video cable, a good one. I’ve seen some weird stuff from cheap ones that don’t make good connections.

Legitimately what old King’s Quest & Quest for Glory games would look like when the 16-bit colors crashed the pallet

  24. pigking188

I would say step 1 would be ignore it and hope it doesn’t happen again

  25. Tag this as NSFW, it can be dangerous for some people in the sub

  26. This usually happens when you spill an acid on the GPU.

  27. hejwbdbeiwbbdiwakwkz

This would be amazing for underground edm / hard bass concerts.

  28. Twitch84

For a second I thought I was in the EDM subreddit.
That looks like a stage at a dubstep rave.
