Pre production takes a year or up to two. So they will be in full production by 2026 or 27. Add five to six years for dev time for a AAA game… 2033 is my guess. Delays included…. Hopefully…

Srsly tho, if they’re switching to ue5 *and* doing a massive hiring drive of folks more familiar with the unreal engine, then maybe, just maybe, CDPR will be able to release it on time (hopefully without a dodgy smorgasbord of oddball jank and gamebreaking bugs!) 😀

I want them to keep to their original plan of 2077 marketing: “coming: …when it’s ready”
But because we kept pushing them so hard they released an unfinished, buggy nightmare that eventually made its way to becoming the amazing fully fledged product that it should have been on release. So when I hear “when is Orion going to be released?” Hopefully, whenever it’s fully finished and not a second earlier. I hope CDPR knows not to make that mistake again. I know people who, even now with the state that 2077 is currently in, don’t want to play the game because of the experience they had on release and it soured them on the game, which is such a shame as this game is pure art now.
So hopefully, Orion will be coming: …when it’s ready.

this is why a company juggling 2 big series is a double edged sword. i’m glad we’re in a world where witcher and cyberpunk are both amazing but it also means we have to wait. a *long* time. us witcher fans will be rivalling rockstar fans having to wait over a decade for the next title
